Large-scale sculpture
We turn a reference image or small model into a large sculpture that can actually be carved and assembled: the 3D form, the slicing into foam layers, the internal armature, and every block nested on stock sheets.
For: Fabricators, artists, brands and event producers making oversized sculptures, props and characters.
What we do
- Image or scan to 3D: building the form from a reference picture, sketch or maquette
- Slicing the form into foam layers sized to your stock and CNC
- Mirrored halves and seams planned for carving and assembly
- Plywood armatures, frames and baseplates designed into the slices
- Every block and frame part nested on sheets with IDs
- Exploded assembly views for the build team

How we work
- Brief and constraints: site, loads, budget, fabrication method, deadline
- Model as a system: driving geometry and rules, reviewed in an interactive 3D view
- Iterate with you until it is right, while everything stays editable
- Hand-off: production models, drawings and fabrication files in your formats
Questions
Can you work from just a photo?
Yes. The 10 ft swan started as a single photo of a glazed ceramic swan: image to point cloud, to mesh, to a buildable sculpture.
How is the sculpture broken down for the shop?
For the swan: 4 in foam slices cut into mirrored halves on the centre seam, around a 3/4 in plywood armature, with every foam block and ply part nested onto 8 by 4 ft sheets.
